Chen Bei (Addie) is currently a deputy editor-in-chief in China Daily’s New Media Department. She is in charge of China Daily Bilingual Mobile Newspaper, China’s first bilingual mobile newspaper and second largest mobile newspaper. Chen has been working at China Daily since February 2006. Her working areas include English learning guide in Language Tips – a sub-website of China Daily website for English learners, Olympic Games reports in 2008 and bilingual news editing for mobile subscribers.
Chen is the 2011 AUT/China Daily Exchange journalist and is studying selected papers on the postgraduate communication studies programme.
Kim Bowden, who has recently returned from a three-month internship on China Daily.com , will also speak about her experience and answer any questions for journalism students applying for the 2012 internships, in Beijing and Jakarta, sponsored by the Asia New Zealand Foundation.
