Henry Yamo is a journalist and communicator from Mendi/Ialibu in the Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.
He holds a Primary Teaching Certificate from Balob Teachers’ College in Lae and a Bachelor of Communication Arts (Journalism) degree from Divine Word University (DWU).
At DWU, he was awarded the Bronze Medal and EMTV awards in recognition for academic excellence in the degree programme. Yamo has worked with Transparency International PNG Inc (TIPNG) as a media officer for two and a half years and taught in primary schools for 11 years.
He is currently on the Asia-Pacific Journalism course as a postgraduate student in AUT University's School of Communication Studies. His MCS research topic is: Mobile phones in rural Papua New Guinea: A transformation in health communication and delivery services
