AUCKLAND (Radio 95bFM The Wire/Southern Cross/Pacific Media Watch): Issues important to young Pasifika voters in New Zealand’s 2017 general election is the focus of the Pacific Media Centre’s weekly Southern Cross radio programme.

Mabel Muller, a former Pacific Media Centre contributor and a journalist for Radio 531pi, tells Pacific Media Watch freedom project editor Kendall Hutt poverty and housing are central issues for Pasifika youth this election.

Hutt and Muller also discuss whether climate change is a strong election issue for young voters and political engagement within the Pacific community.
