Jamie Small is a student journalist completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Studies at AUT University.
Born and raised in the Waikato, Jamie has firm roots in rural New Zealand. However, he has a broad range of experience from living in Dunedin and Auckland, as well as Catania, Italy, and Bangkok, Thailand.
Jamie holds a Bachelor in Commerce degree, with a major in International Business from the University of Otago. He also has experience working in marketing.
He is a keen reader and writer, but he spends plenty of time outdoors hiking, taking part in water sports and travelling.
Jamie is excited to be a part of a "new generation" of journalists tasked with blending the worlds of print, online media, social media and entertainment.
