SUVA: (Radio Australia / Pacific Media Watch): A University of the South Pacific media academic says there are major similarities between Fiji and Singapore's controls on the media.
Dr Marc Edge, head of the USP regional journalism programme, says while Fiji could have copied parts of its legislation word for word from Singapore, Fiji's penalties are more harsh.
