SUVA (Fiji Broadcasting Corporation / Pacific Media Watch): The excitement continues to build towards the launch of Fiji's newest television station FBC TV.

Even sports personalities are eager for the launch - which they say will bring something different to the arena.

FBC News caught up with a former rugby 15s rep who just cannot wait.

"I'm Marika Vunibaka and I am looking forward to FBC TV."

International rugby referee James Bolabiu also says it is exciting times for Fiji.

"It's another great achievement that we can have access to another television channel. I'm really looking forward to FBC TV to show many sports events - not only locally but also abroad."

Former sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo adds the new station will benefit everyone.

"I believe it is a great and innovative approach of presenting information across to the people. It is a great opportunity for the people of Fiji - who have access to television to get information first hand."

FBC TV is set to launch next Friday.
