AUCKLAND (Media7 / Pacific Media Watch): Television New Zealand's Media7 programme has analysed the final days of the election campaign, heaping praise on Māori TV's Native Affairs and their political coverage.

Julian Wilcox spoke about the town hall-style debates organised for the Māori electorates with a higher level of interaction with voters than the debates featured on the mainstream media.

Interaction was also sought through social media, with viewers sending live tweets, with mostly positive feedback.

Host Russell Brown had panellists including political scientist Edwin De Ronde, Listener columnist and blogger Toby Manhire as well as Wilcox on the show.

Brown also interviewed documentary maker Bryan Bruce, who's Inside Child Poverty: A Special Report was aired on primetime television during election week.
