WELLINGTON (Radio New Zealand / Pacific Media Watch): Prime Minister John Key and United Future leader Peter Dunne have signed a confidence and supply agreement at Parliament that includes a "no sale" agreement over the public broadcaster Radio New Zealand.
Under the deal, Dunne will remain Minister of Revenue and associate Minister of Health, as well as picking up the portfolio of associate Minister of Conservation. Dunne has also won new gains, including investigating a free, annual health check-up for over 65s, no sale of any part of Kiwibank or Radio New Zealand.
He has also secured the retention of the Families Commission.
A deal will also be announced later between National and the ACT Party.
National has 60 votes in Parliament, and the agreements with the two minor parties will take that to to a clear majority of 62.
Earlier, Dunne said he is very satisfied with what he had achieved.
Incoming ACT MP John Banks said his deal underpins some very important party values.
