PORT VILA: The publisher of the Vanuatu Daily Post newspaper, Marc Neil-Jones, says he intends pushing for cabinet minister Harry Iauko to be dismissed from government after the minister allegedly physically assaulted him.

The two men were both at the newspaper’s office last Friday afternoon.

The minister was unhappy with reports carried by the paper.

Minister Iauko has been spoken to by police but was not arrested.

Neil-Jones says he will work closely with the police and Transparency International to make sure the minister is dismissed from government for what he describes as outrageous behaviour. - Radio NZ INternational/Pacific Media Watch
