AUCKLAND (bFM/Pacific Media Watch): The Prime Minister of Fiji says he is following its own plan and not that of New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully or of the Pacific Islands Forum. That is despite a Ministerial Contact Group visit to Fiji last week, which included McCully and Australian counterpart Bob Carr.

Pacific Media Watch contributing editor Alex Perrottet, who was in Fiji last week, speaks to Anna Bracewell-Worrall at bFM about the international pressure on Fiji and the personality problems that might be stifling otherwise positive progress towards democracy in the island nation.
