AUCKLAND (Pacific Media Watch / Te Waha Nui): Pacific Media Centre founder Professor David Robie will have his latest book launched at the Auckland University of Technology library next week.

The book, Don't Spoil My Beautiful Face - Media, Mayhem and Human Rights in the Pacific, published by independent Little Island Press, focuses on media and human rights in the Pacific.

Investigative journalist John Pilger says the "secret history" in the book "allows us to understand the Asia-Pacific at a time of renewed Cold War ambitions and dangers".

Professor Robie was interviewed on air by student journalist Monique McKenzie of Te Waha Nui multimedia website this week.

The book will be launched by Pacific Islands Media Association (PIMA) chair Sandra Kailahi on behalf of TVNZ Pacific correspondent Barbara Dreaver.
