SUVA (University of the South Pacific / Pacific Media Watch): The University of the South Pacific's main Laucala campus in Suva, Fiji, does not practise recycling - in spite of allocating the majority of its bins specifically for recycling.

A group of student television journalists followed the USP rubbish truck on their morning route and found that all rubbish - regardless of where the bins were collected - were all dumped into huge containers provided by the Suva City Council.

PMW note: This video was made by USP student journalists Marlena Maerz, Nandni Vandhana, Lusia Lagilevu, Kalesi Mele and Koi Valemei during second semester, 2011. They said:

"We had alot of fun making it, especially the fundraising for it (washing cars with Kalesi and Neo) and riding around on the rubbish truck!). We were trained by Professor Robert Hooper, someone who should keep teaching television journalism because he just rocks!"
