AUCKLAND (Radio 95bFM The Wire/Southern Cross/Pacific Media Watch): Controversy at the centre of Papua New Guinea's 2017 general election is again the focus of the Pacific Media Centre's weekly Southern Cross radio programme.

Pacific Media Watch freedom project editor Kendall Hutt discusses concerning developments in the counting of votes with The Wire host Amanda Robinson.

Hutt also speaks about threats to freedom of speech after the gagging of political blogger Martyn Namorong and Electoral Commissioner Patilias Gamato's ongoing assurances the election has run smoothly "dispute hiccups".
