PORT VILA (Pacific Media Watch): The Vanuatu Daily Post will resume publishing after being forced to stop printing since last Friday when super Cyclone Pam raged through Vanuatu.
The Daily Post website has also suffered from a publishing gap forced by the devastation.
The newspaper announced that it would resume publication on its website today.
New Zealander Paul Jackson, general manager of the Daily Post, was earlier this week reported by Stuff as saying his office could not do any work without electricity.
"There's just trees all over the road and electricity wires with no power, of course, left lying on the road," he said.
"It's just like a war zone really...very few leaves left on the trees so you can see right through everything."
The Daily Post office was awaiting a generator to be delivered, so the newspaper could be printed and sent out to communities.
