AUCKLAND (Pacific Media Watch): The Ampatuan massacre in the Philippines, Fiji and Pacific freedom, and the surveillance state in Australia featured strongly in the opening sessions of the three-day Political journalism in the Asia-Pacific conference at AUT University today.

AUT University’s Head of Pacific Advancement , Walter Fraser, launched the event and congratulated Pacific Journalism Review for celebrating 20 years of publishing.

Graduating television and screen writing student Sasya Wreksono from the School of Communication Studies introduced her documentary The Life of Pacific Journalism Review.
