JAYAPURA : The Indonesian government says it will consider lifting restrictions banning journalists from the troubled province of Papua.

Papuans complain of human rights abuses by security forces, corruption, inadequate development and a flood of internal migrants.
It is largely off limits to the international and domestic media.
