A travelogue of images from a journey to New Caledonia in January 2012. This is a tour of some popular tourist features and historic corners in a fast-growing Pacific city. They include the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Centre built on the Tinu pensinsula on the outskirts of the city and opened in 1998 in honour of the assassinated Kanak political and cultural leader.
