Ariane Adam is a communications adviser at AUT University with a focus on external communications for the University’s South Campus in Manukau, Māori and Pacific Advancement, including the Pacific Media Centre.
Born in the small Indian Ocean island state of Seychelles, she began her career in journalism overseas, focusing on local government issues in the Indian Ocean territories.
Since completing a Bachelor of Communication Studies in 2010 - with a major in Public Relations and minor in Journalism - and prior to starting work at AUT, she worked in corporate PR, consumer PR, not-for-profit PR and experiential marketing in New Zealand, building an informed worldview of a number of key industries.
Ariane Adam is currently looking to conduct a Masters research project on the relationship between PR and Journalism in Fiji and in the Seychelles.
