Dr James Hollings is a senior journalism lecturer at Massey University and a former deputy chief subeditor of The Evening Post.
He teaches global journalism. His doctoral thesis was on the decision-making processes of reluctant witnesses, such as whistleblowers, and in particular how journalists persuade them to speak out.
He was elected the Journalism Education Association of New Zealand (JEANZ) representative on the Pacific Journalism Review international editorial board in 2012.
