John Miller (Ngapuhi) is one of New Zealand's leading political dissent and social documentary photographers.
In 2003, he was awarded a PMC grant to research the public furore about development of the 51,000 ha Ngatihine forestry block in mid-Northland in the 1970s - an issue that predated the public furore over Bastion Point. He presented his prelimary findings in a presentation at the Media, Investigative Journalism and Technology (MIJT) 2010 conference at AUT University.
