Dr Sky Marsen is a senior lecturer at the University of the South Pacific and a language and communication specialist.
She has worked in corporate communication at IBM, and lectured in media and professional writing internationally, including at California Institute of Technology, City University of Hong Kong, and Victoria University of Wellington.
Her research interests include the communication practices of technical professionals with the public, crisis management, and public relations writing. She has collaborated with computer scientists on various projects, including a taxonomy of use cases, and the narrative structure of computer games.
She is an adviser to the Software Foundation Fiji, established to encourage appreciation of technology and software in the public.
