AUCKLAND (Radio 95bFM The Wire/Southern Cross/Pacific Media Watch): The uncertain outcome of New Zealand's 2017 general election and the impact a potential change of government may have on the Pasifika community is the focus of the Pacific Media Centre's weekly Southern Cross radio programme.

Pacific Media Watch freedom project editor Kendall Hutt speaks with The Wire host Joel Thomas about an aspect of the media monitoring service's election coverage -- the issues important to Pasifika voters.

Hutt also discusses what a National-New Zealand First or Labour-Greens-New Zealand First coalition could mean for resolving the issues of poverty, homelessness, education and immigration for Pasifika, and reflects on the "one family" spirit of the community during the election.
