TONGA: Matangi Tonga editor disclaims election article on TV3

NUKU'ALOFA: Pesi Fonua, the publisher-editor of the Matangi Tonga Online, disclaims an AP article purporting to be written "by Pesi Fonua" and published on the website of TV3 www.3news.co.nz today, Friday 26 November 2010 at 9:19 a.m and in other media.

I did NOT write the article entitled "Tonga votes in historic election" and I disclaim the erroneous statements made in it. The article was, in fact, written by AP's staff who did not have my permission to use my byline. - Matangi Tonga/Pacific Media Watch
